As a combined student ministry, our goal is and always will be to equip and train students and young adults to use the talents and strengths God has given them to serve others. Our goal is to have the high school students discover and use their gifts to minister to the junior high class. This ministry is led by Charles Phillips and his wife, Savannah.
“Be very sure now, you who have been trained to a self-sufficient maturity, that you enter into a generous common life with those who have trained you, sharing all the good things that you have and experience.” —Galatians 6:6
As our students are away from the building we want them to see the world as the mission field. Whether they are involved in sports, academics, the arts, or any other area of interest, our goal is that they will see those involved as God sees them and develop a God-centered heart for them. Our goal is to equip those that God leads to us to love others into the presence of God.
“So here is what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life – and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what He wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” —Romans 12: 1-2
